Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks skilled Riggers for a project in Mebane, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3 months. Qualifications

• Skilled in written and verbal communication.
• Complete all safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes at all times.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves per load size and weight.
• Attach pulleys/blocks to overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Attach loads with grappling devices to crane hooks.
• Direct Crane Operator using hand signals, loudspeaker, or phone to ensure safety.
• Set up and rig hoisting equipment with hand tools and power wrenches.
• Splice rope and wire to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate equipment movements according to signals and directions.
• Rate information using measurable standards.
• Detect and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Maintain regular attendance; travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as required.
