Job summary

Commercial Steel Erection, Inc. seeks a skilled rigger/equipment handler to assemble rigging, align and anchor machinery, and safely move heavy loads on manufacturing plants, shipyards, or construction sites. The role emphasizes strict adherence to OSHA, DOT, QA/QC, and site rules.

You will plan, organize, and prioritize rigging tasks, communicate with supervisors, select gear based on load, and direct workers to ensure safety while operating forklifts and lifting devices. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating manuals and procedures.
• Must be able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and rig loads for lifting and moving heavy equipment.
• Align, level, anchor machinery and attach loads to rigging.
• Direct and coordinate workers to ensure safe hoisting and movement of loads.
• Operate safe lifting devices and inspect rigging for safety and reliability.
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
