Job summary

Orange County Government in Orlando, FL is seeking a Rigging Supervisor to lead and manage installation and removal of client rigging at the Convention Center. You will plan, calculate loads, inspect hardware, and supervise a team to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires a high school diploma plus five years in shows production and rigging in a lead capacity, with ability to read blueprints and rigging plots. Valid Florida driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate with at least five years in shows production and rigging in a lead role.
  • Ability to read rigging plots and blueprints.
  • Ability to calculate rigging points for proper placement and safe weight distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Directs, oversees, schedules and trains staff on installation and removal of rigging for client projects at the Orange County Convention Center.
  • Meets with clients for pre-show planning to determine rigging needs and prepares billing reports.
  • Calculates rigging for proper weight distribution and inspects rigging hardware and systems.
  • Schedules and trains employees on safe rigging techniques and provides hands-on direction.
