Job Title: Rigging and Crane Operator

STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

This essential role in Mechanical Integration involves rigging and the movement of heavy machinery, as well as the placement of products within the yard for assembly of generator units. The position requires high attention to detail, effective communication with all teams, and strict adherence to safety guidelines. While this will be the primary focus during high-volume times, there will be opportunities to rotate into other roles such as Engine preparation, Tank preparation, and Finish. This is an exciting time to join JTS as we are growing and expanding.

Who You Are:

• Strong communication skills and awareness of others in movement
• Ability to work under pressure and keep calm
• Ability to maintain a safe perimeter and signal crane operator
• Skilled at driving a forklift
• Good math skills and the ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to perform work tasks with little or no supervision
• Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in all-weather conditions

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare shackles on the house for lifting with chains or straps
• Operate lifts for access to roofs, using harnesses
• Help load completed units on transport trucks using correct rigging and chains
• Communicate with Crane Operator at all times
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure they are upheld
• Collaborate with others on installation or preparation adjustments
• Install generator and fuel system components
• Install exhaust flexes

Qualifications & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Prior experience with rigging and crane operations
• Mechanical aptitude demonstrated
• Familiarity with reading blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic
• Effective time management and adaptability
• Ability to wear PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection
• Knowledge of jobsite safety practices
• Reliable attendance, respectful and responsible behavior
• Strong communication skills and awareness of others in movement
• Ability to work under pressure and keep calm
• Skilled at driving a forklift
• Good math skills and ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs.
