Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Massachusetts is seeking a Rigger to set up, assemble, or disassemble rigging, selecting gear based on load size, and assisting with safe relocation of machinery and equipment.

You will inspect rigging materials, align and anchor machinery, use hand and power tools, read blueprints, and follow safety protocols. A CDL may be required for certain roles; HS diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics, or technical manuals as required.
• Familiar with hand or flag signals including their meaning.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL and/or endorsements may be required for certain positions.
• Three to five years of rigging or related experience for advanced positions.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect rigging materials to ensure safety and reliability.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery or equipment.
• Use hand and/or power tools to attach loads to rigging and prepare for moving.
• Select appropriate gear according to load weights and sizes, work area, and job specifications.
• Be aware of obstacles and other people to maintain safety.
