Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking a Journeyman Rigger for a Beech Island project. The role involves planning, laying out, and installing rigging components to lift and install equipment, machinery, and steel in accordance with plans and industry standards.

Candidate must have strong rigging knowledge, use of hand/power tools, and the ability to work safely in a team. This on-site position emphasizes safety, adherence to plans, and on-the-job training where needed.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience working as a rigger or similar craft.
• Strong working knowledge of the rigging craft and rigging tools.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to complete pre-employment onboarding (background check, drug screen, MVR).

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out and install rigging components for lifting.
• Inspect and test rigging for safety and reliability.
• Direct hoisting with crane signals and tag lines.
• Read and interpret plans and specs; align and anchor machinery.
• Maintain and store rigging equipment after use.
