Qualifications

• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Completion of Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observance of SIC safety and quality processes at all times.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves based on load weight and size.
• Attach pulleys/blocks to overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Secure load with grappling devices to crane hook.
• Give clear directions to Crane Operator to ensure safety during hoisting.
• Set up and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate movement of equipment and materials according to signals and directions.
