Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks a Rigger for a project in Apex, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3 months.

Essential duties include selecting rigging components, attaching to overhead structures, guiding crane operators, and ensuring safety and efficient hoisting operations. Strong communication and adherence to safety standards are required.

Qualifications

• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to load.
• Attach pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Attach load with grappling devices to crane hook.
• Give directions to Crane Operator to ensure safety during hoisting and movement.
• Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment with hand tools and power wrenches.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate movement of equipment according to visual signals and directions.
• Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Significant travel may be required.
