Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Completion of all safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Adherence to SIC and customer safety and quality procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to load size.
• Attach pulleys to fixed overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Attach load with grappling devices to crane hook.
• Direct Crane Operator using hand signals, loudspeaker, or telephone to ensure safety.
• Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment with hand tools.
• Splice rope and wire to create or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate movement of equipment and materials according to signals.
• Rate information using measurable standards.
• Detect and respond to dangerous conditions.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Significant travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as required.
