POSITION SUMMARY:

The Rigger uses mechanical and power tools to install and connect motors and accessories on boats or ATVs as per factory specifications or work orders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Rigs boat packages according to factory specifications and work orders.
  • Notifies the Service Manager if the rigging of a unit is unacceptable, has problems, or if customer requests may cause safety issues.
  • Works efficiently to maintain service schedules.
  • Prepares motors or trailers for delivery.
  • Tests units for proper and safe operation following marine service procedures.
  • Follows work order procedures for parts, labor, and paperwork, and requests additional parts or labor as needed.
  • Compiles warranty packages for each unit.
  • Completes rigging checklists and assists in inspection processes.
  • Installs optional equipment or accessories as per customer requests.
  • Maintains a clean and professional work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Ability to work with electrical systems and wiring for engines, boats, or ATVs.
  • Effective communication skills with customers and team members.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • N/A
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
  • Performs tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Resolves problems with limited alternatives and makes recommendations for work procedures, policies, and practices.
