POSITION SUMMARY:

The Rigger uses mechanical and power tools to install and connect motors and accessories on boats or ATVs as per factory specifications or as specified on work orders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
• Rigs boat package per factory specifications and work orders.
• Notifies Service Manager of any issues with received units, such as problems needing additional work, safety issues, or customer requests that may not be feasible.
• Works efficiently to maintain service schedules.
• Prepares motors or trailers for delivery.
• Tests units for proper and safe operation following marine service procedures.
• Follows work order procedures for parts, labor, paperwork, and requests for additional work.
• Compiles warranty packages for each unit.
• Completes rigging checklists and assists with inspection processes.
• Installs optional equipment or accessories as requested by customers.
• Maintains a clean and professional work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Ability to handle electrical systems and wiring, including connecting engines and remote control attachments.
• Effective communication skills with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, colleagues, and customers.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

• Performs tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and some independent judgment for problem-solving and process improvement.
