Job summary

JMS in Billings, MT is seeking experienced full-time Rigger Drivers to support crane operations at our Billings Branch. The role involves assisting the crane operator, rigging loads, and driving to job sites while complying with safety and environmental policies.

You will load, secure, and transport equipment, perform pre-trip inspections, and help ensure overtime opportunities to meet project needs. Applicant must have a CDL Class A license and 1–3 years of heavy haul and rigging/driving

Qualifications

CDL Class A license is required.
HS diploma or equivalent is required.
1–3 years of Heavy haul experience.
1–3 years of rigging and commercial driving experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the crane operator in the proper set-up of the equipment.
Assist the crane operator in the maintenance of the crane and accessory equipment.
Perform proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of the load.
Utilize proper hand signals during crane operations.
Secure equipment to the trailer before operating the truck.
Inspect truck and trailer; file a truck inspection report before operation.
Monitor inventory of chains, boomer, and straps; report missing equipment.
Document maintenance and repairs for supervisor.
Clean and inspect equipment in shop and yard; keep area tidy.
Prepare for next day’s assignments and ensure necessary rigging is ready.
Complete payroll timesheet and report hours by Monday 10:00 a.m.
