Job summary

JMS in Billings, MT is seeking experienced full-time crane operators to join our growing branch. You will be responsible for safe crane operation, rigging, load handling, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

The role requires a current CDL, a NCCCO crane license, 3+ years of hydraulic crane operation, and proficiency with hand signals. We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, paid vacation, per diem, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• CDL license current and valid.
• NCCCO crane license current and valid.
• 3+ years of hydraulic crane operation experience.
• Ability to read hand signals for crane operation.

Responsibilities

• Review next day’s job assignments and ensure necessary rigging and equipment are ready.
• Complete Electronic Field Tickets daily.
• Submit payroll hours to the local branch by Sunday midnight.
• Inspect, clean and maintain equipment when not on a job.
• Answer phone promptly and relay information as needed.
• Assist in training safe crane operation.
• Review crane manuals and service instructions periodically.
• Maintain site and equipment housekeeping and general maintenance.
• Read and interpret crane load charts and perform proper setup.
• Program crane computer in setup mode and position crane safely on site.
• Ensure signal person understands and performs proper hand signals.
• Perform proper rigging to ensure safe lifting of loads.
• Inspect crane/truck/trailer and fill vehicle inspection reports daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
