Job summary

Worley in Texas seeks an experienced rigging technician to assemble, rig, and operate hoisting equipment for construction projects. You will direct crane operations, ensure safety, and help set up/tear down cranes and lifting gear. Strong blueprints reading and load-chart knowledge are required.

We value practical experience in industrial construction and maintenance, along with commitment to safety procedures and teamwork on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of complex rigging and heavy rigging.
• Ability to change crane boom and cable, and understand load charts.
• Awareness of electrical, ladder and scaffold safety.
• Familiarity with lifting machinery basics and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Loads, transports, unloads and assists in selecting cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves according to load.
• Attaches pulleys/blocks to overhead structures and to crane hooks using appropriate hardware.
• Directs crane operator and hoisting team to move loads safely with signals or radios.
• Sets up braces and rigs hoisting equipment; assembles/disassembles cranes.
• Splices rope and wire cables to make or repair slings; performs minor tool maintenance.
