Job summary

Worley in the United States is seeking an experienced rigging technician to join our industrial construction team in Wisconsin. You will load, transport, and set up lifting gear for construction projects, ensuring safe handling of equipment and materials.

Responsibilities include directing crane operators, assembling and disassembling cranes, splicing rope, and performing routine maintenance, with emphasis on safety and adherence to blueprints.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of complex rigging and safety practices.
  • Basic blueprint reading and load-chart familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Loads, transports, unloads and assists in selecting cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves according to load.
  • Attaches pulley/blocks to overhead structures and connects load to crane hook.
  • Directs crane operator or hoisting engineer to move loads safely.
  • Sets up braces and rigs hoisting equipment; assembles/disassembles cranes.
  • Splices rope and wire cables to make or repair slings or tackle.
  • Performs minor maintenance or cleaning on tools and equipment.
