Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking a Rigger for our construction projects. The role focuses on rigging operations, setting up hoisting equipment, and ensuring safe handling of materials on site.

The position requires knowledge of crane signals, adherence to safety codes, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates should have NCCER/NCCCO certification and at least five years of commercial construction rigging experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction rigging experience.
• Current NCCER or NCCCO certification.

• Familiar with traffic control and safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Determine and set up hoisting equipment to be moved by lift
• Secure materials following safety protocol
• Signal to operator where to place equipment and materials throughout project site
• Able to understand weight limits of various chokers, shackles, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves, and cables, knows crane signals, and able to follow safety codes
• Follow oral and written directions
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed
• Position requires long periods of walking or standing
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
• Proof of certification required
