Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking a skilled Rigger for active commercial construction projects in Georgia. The role involves setting up hoisting equipment, securing materials per safety protocols, and directing crane operations on site to move loads efficiently and safely.

Candidates should have 5 years of rigger experience, hold NCCER or NCCCO certification, be familiar with traffic control, and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 5 years Commercial Construction Rigger experience preferred.
• Must have current and valid NCCER or NCCCO certification and be familiar with traffic control.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Determine and set up hoisting equipment to be moved by lift.
• Secure materials following safety protocol.
• Signal to operator where to place equipment and materials throughout project site.
• Able to understand weight limits of various chokers, shackles, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves, and cables, knows crane signals, and able to follow safety codes.
• Follow oral and written directions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
• Position requires long periods of walking or standing.
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
• Proof of certification required.
