Job summary

Tiger Well Service in Watford City, ND seeks an experienced rig operator to support workover operations, rig up/down, and rod/tubing handling. The role requires adherence to DOT regulations, safety procedures, and proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues on location.

You will lead safe equipment inspections, coordinate with HSE and rig managers, perform field tickets, and mentor crew members to maintain a clean, organized worksite and reliable operations on the pad.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a workover rig on location.
• Strong knowledge of safe rigging, tripping, and equipment handling.
• Ability to perform torque calculations and pipe tallying.
• Ability to communicate STOP work authority and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate the rig safely during rig up/down and pulling operations.
• Perform routine equipment inspections including fall arrest, derrick, hoisting, and mud pump.
• Instruct floor and derrick hands in safety equipment use and rig/pumping operations.
• Assist HSE, DOT, and other departments with documentation and field tickets.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and request repairs as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized worksite and reliable equipment.
• Train and mentor crew members on day-to-day operations.
• Stop work if conditions are unsafe and report concerns immediately.
