Job summary

Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation is seeking a Rig Hand II to operate and maintain service rigs across West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The role requires handling of plugging tasks, routine maintenance, and adherence to safety standards.

You will work under the Rig Foreman, perform daily checks, and assist in moving and testing equipment on-site. Candidates should be able to travel, lift heavy items, and collaborate with the crew to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver license required.
• CDL a plus.
• Experience running Power Tongs.
• Knowledge of removal of rods and tubing from gas and oil wells.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of gas & oil wellheads.
• Knowledge of drill pipe and drill collars.
• Commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel to remote well sites and work in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and operation of plugging rigs.
• Safely handle and transport drilling tools, equipment and materials.
• Rig up and rig down equipment for plugging and abandonment tasks.
• Utilize rig equipment (tongs, slips, elevators, winch line) for plugging operations.
• Assist in loading and off-loading pipe and other items from truck/trailer to the rig.
• Lift and lay down tubing; operate wellhead pumping equipment.
• Wear and maintain mats, tubing, rods, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with rig crew, cementers, and truck drivers for smooth operations.
• Mentor junior Rig Hands and participate in safety meetings.
