Job summary

Patterson-UTI Drilling is seeking a Rig Hand to support on-site operations at our Colorado location. The role involves heavy manual tasks, rig maintenance, and assisting with rig moves.

Candidates must meet safety and PPE requirements while operating in a remote drilling environment. The position offers an hourly wage starting at $28.50 per hour, with a 14 days on / 14 days off schedule and potential per diem benefits.

Qualifications

• Clear communication skills including ability to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to stand/walk long shifts in rugged conditions
• Experience with heavy equipment and rig operations is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lift and place slips with another person during tour work shift
• General upkeep of rig and drilling floor; cleaning and housekeeping duties
• Operate iron roughneck, slips and tongs to handle drill pipe connections
• Assist in rig moves: rig-up/rig-down and prep of new location
• Inspect safety equipment and PPE for wear and replacement as needed
• Support Derrickhand and Motorhand with maintenance and equipment checks
• Work safely around moving machinery and hazardous conditions
• Travel to remote locations on a 14/14 rotation with 12.5 hour shifts
