The ideal candidate has offshore drilling or rig administration experience (drillship a plus), strong organization, attention to detail, and solid Excel-enabled MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with offshore drilling or rig administration is required.
  • Payroll and timekeeping experience is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced offshore environment.
  • Valid offshore certifications and medicals as required.
  • US citizen or permanent resident is required before mobilization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily rig administrative activities and documentation.
  • Maintain POB records and personnel files.
  • Support crew changes, rotations, travel, and logistics coordination.
  • Track timesheets, working hours, and overtime records.
  • Assist with payroll-related documentation and reporting.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly administrative reports.
  • Coordinate with offshore management and shore-based office.
  • Maintain records of offshore certifications, medicals, training, and personnel documentation.
  • Assist with purchasing, invoices, and other administrative needs.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Rig Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to an offshore drilling operation. The Rig Administrator will be responsible for maintaining accurate personnel and administrative records, supporting crew changes and personnel movements, coordinating documentation, preparing reports, and ensuring effective communication between the rig and shore-based management.

The ideal candidate will have previous offshore drilling or rig administration experience, preferably aboard a drillship or similar offshore drilling unit. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential.

Payroll and timekeeping experience would be a strong plus, particularly experience tracking crew hours, overtime, timesheets, and providing accurate information to support payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily rig administrative activities and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate POB (Personnel on Board) records and personnel files.
  • Support crew changes, rotations, travel, and logistics coordination.

  • Assist with payroll-related documentation and reporting.

  • Ensure all administrative records are accurate, organized, and up to date.
  • Support compliance with company policies and offshore operational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Rig Administrator, Rig Clerk, or Offshore Administrator.
  • Offshore drilling experience preferred.
  • Drillship experience is a plus.
  • Experience with payroll, timekeeping, timesheets, and overtime tracking is highly desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced offshore environment.
  • Valid offshore certifications and medicals as required.
