Ridley Block Operations, an Alltech® company, manufactures and markets block supplements, loose minerals, and dried molasses. Products are sold under highly recognized and proprietary brand names, including: CRYSTALYX®, SWEETLIX®, ULTRALYX® and STOCKADE®. We also offer several controlled and privately labeled products. We are currently seeking experienced Plant Manager candidates for our Fort Worth, TX facility. This position reports to the Senior Operations Manager and will manage the day to day operations of this location.
The Plant Manager is accountable for all production related activities within the facility (safety, P&L, product quality, staff training/development, LEAN, etc). Either directly or through assigned staff, this position ensures the manufacture, warehousing and delivery or pick up of product within established quality guidelines, customer expectations and regulatory requirements. This position actively leads and supports our safety program, lean initiatives and other strategic goals and has P&L responsibilities, including the development of the annual budget and capital expenditures plans for the location. This mill is a complete line feed mill with two shifts and significant computer applications.
The qualified applicant will possess a college degree or equivalent experience, will have 2 or more years of progressive experience in managing a feed mill, will be skilled in motivating staff through good communication and leadership skills, will have solid computer skills and experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment. Ability to communicate effectively with a large dealer base, sales managers and sales staff is required.
