Job summary

Emerson Distribution Center is seeking a Distribution Associate to learn and perform multiple warehouse functions, including order picking, packing, loading outbound trailers, and inventory tasks. You will work in a team, uphold safety standards, and operate powered equipment after completing required training.

You will need strong self-motivation, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while working on concrete floors for 8+ hours.

Qualifications

• Completion and successful passage of Emerson-required training for powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on concrete for extended periods.
• Comfort working at heights up to 20 feet with fall-protection equipment.
• Basic math skills to support order accuracy and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick customer orders using an RF scanner and powered equipment.
• Perform computer-based tasks to support fulfillment and inventory movement.
• Pack orders according to specific requirements and pallet configurations.
• Retrieve, transport, and stage materials for daily work schedules.
• Load finished goods into outbound trailers as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and perform housekeeping daily.
• Safely operate forklifts, stock pickers, pallet jacks, turret/reach trucks after training.
• Assist with additional tasks to support distribution center operations.

Job description

Distribution associates are required to learn and perform multiple functions within the warehouse. These functions include but are not limited to: picking and packing finished goods, loading outbound trailers, and other duties assigned by the Leadership team. All duties require 100% accuracy in performance.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Accurately pick customer orders using an RF scanner and powered industrial equipment while maintaining a strong focus on efficiency and precision.
• Perform computer-based tasks to support order fulfillment and inventory movement.
• Work cooperatively in a team environment, including during high‑demand periods, and communicate clearly with leaders and peers.
• Pack customer orders according to specific requirements, including special markings, pallet configurations, and product handling needs.
• Retrieve, transport, and stage materials according to daily work schedules, which may include loading finished goods into outbound trailers.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all housekeeping expectations daily.
• Safely operate equipment such as fork trucks, stock pickers, pallet jacks, turret trucks, and reach trucks after successful completion of required training.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support distribution center operations.

• Comfort working at heights up to 20 feet while wearing approved fall‑protection equipment.
• Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and stand or walk on concrete for 8+ hours.
