Job summary

Six Flags New England is seeking energetic Ride Attendants and Ride Operators to join our dynamic ride operations team in Hartford, CT area. You’ll help launch coasters, support safe loading, and keep guests thrilled from queue to ride.

Starting pay ranges at $15.00–$15.50 per hour, with opportunities to learn certification and advance in a fast-paced theme park environment. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is a plus, and safety comes first for every guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment like our coasters
• Ability to pass ride certification tests
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Friendly, outgoing personality inviting guests to your boarding station
• Positive attitude to make guests excited about their ride
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Able to communicate effectively in English (read, speak, and understand)
• Able to meet physical demands (walking long distances, standing long periods, lifting, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Providing guests with a safe and enjoyable ride experience
• Entertaining guests and calming their nerves as they board our world-class rides and attractions
• Controlling buttons and switches to launch attractions onto the ride course
• Ensuring the overall safe operation of your assigned ride or attraction
• Making sure seat belts are tight, loose items are secure, and lap bars are locked to keep guests safe
• Enforcing rider restrictions and height requirements
• Assisting guests in and out of ride vehicles and guiding the line with a safe sense of urgency
• Keeping ride patios, queue lines, and midways clean and looking great
• Acting as a first responder to ride emergencies to keep guests calm
• Enforcing Six Flags New England policies
• Assisting in other areas of the Rides Department
• Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
