Job summary

American Dream is seeking a Rides Controls Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot ride control systems. You will ensure OEM specifications, diagnose communications, and perform inspections across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic subsystems.

This role requires 3+ years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting, PLC experience, and relevant certifications. You will document work in Mobaro CMMS, follow safety guidelines, and train junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience with troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems, including various hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
NAARSO or AIMS certification (or must obtain within 2 years of employment)
Required: High school diploma or equivalent required
Required: Proficient oral and written communication skills
Required: 1+ year working with PLC systems.
Required: Documented certification to work on low voltage electrical systems without supervision from accredited school or license.
Required: Ability to proficiently use a multi-meter, electrical, and communication tools.
Preferred: 3+ years working with PLC systems.
Preferred: Experience within a theme/amusement park setting or general ride maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair low voltage electrical systems and ride control systems to OEM specifications.
Diagnose and repair communication systems, including COAX, Fiber, Ethernet, and twisted pair within ride controls.
Complete inspections based on OEM and individual requirements, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, lubrication.
Respond to corrective maintenance calls in a timely and professional manner, adhering to American Dream policies.
Perform timely and efficient repairs on all ride systems according to OEM requirements.
Document all preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and projects within the CMMS (Mobaro).
Communicate with manufacturers and support services professionally, adhering to policies.
Follow all safety guidelines identified by American Dream.
Complete Ride Mastery Sign-off requirements and train new technicians at qualified rides.
Maintain assigned tools and equipment, and lead by example for guests and team members.
