Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is seeking an enthusiastic Ride Technician I to perform general maintenance, inspections, and support of rides in a guest-first setting. This entry-level role focuses on foundational technical skills, safety compliance, and completing required training and certifications.

The position requires strong teamwork, reliable communication, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certification preferred.
• No prior professional maintenance experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a park driver’s license.
• Ability to provide and use basic hand tools.
• Excellent communication skills and basic math abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, inspections, and support of rides and attractions in a safe, guest-first environment.
• Demonstrate understanding of ride SOPs and safety policies.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Accurately complete and maintain documentation (Pre-Op Inspections, logs, and maintenance records).
• Assist with preventative maintenance and daily operational projects as assigned.
• Support development of new Ride Technicians through mentoring and feedback.
