Job summary

Universal Studios Orlando is seeking a technical manager responsible for budget and schedule oversight for ride and show systems, including Set/Scenic, Props. You will guide the specification, bid/award, design, production, installation and acceptance testing under a defined area.

The role requires 5+ years in theme park technical/engineering, Bachelor's in a technical field, and experience coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in applicable technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in theme park technical/engineering roles.
• 3+ years of project experience in scenic/entertainment/theme park industry.

Responsibilities

• In-field installation, testing, and adjustment of scenic systems per specifications.
• Review vendor designs and oversee mock-ups and acceptance testing.
• Create scopes of work and award contracts based on quantitative criteria.
• Lead design and production reviews at vendor locations, ensuring quality and schedule.
• Develop and manage project schedules and budgets from design to installation.
• Support Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities per UDX policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
