Job summary

Universal Orlando seeks an accomplished mechanical/structural engineer to lead complex redesigns and development of Ride & Show systems. You will supervise design through installation, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and coordinate with vendors and parks operations to ensure safety, reliability and performance.

The role requires 7–10 years in engineering for dynamic motion systems, a bachelor’s (master’s preferred) in engineering, and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • 7–10 years project engineering experience in mechanical/structural systems.
  • Experience with dynamic motion systems in a theme park environment.
  • Strong analytical skills for engineering calculations and design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead re-engineering efforts for ride and show systems to improve safety and reliability.
  • Develop scopes, manage design through installation; monitor budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate with vendors, ride supervisors, and engineering managers.
  • Prepare specifications and oversee testing, commissioning, and documentation.
