Job summary

RIDE Coach and Bus is seeking Company Drivers to provide transportation services across multiple sites. You must maintain a safe driving record, and follow state and federal driving laws.

Responsibilities include transporting buses, performing pre-trip/post-trip inspections, test driving for QA, cleaning vehicles, and adhering to DOT regulations. Expect heavy travel (80%+), long distances, overnight trips, and possible cross-state travel.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license (Class A or B) with passenger and air brake endorsements.

Responsibilities

  • Transports buses to various sites to support sales/marketing/production and other departments.
  • Performs test driving for quality assurance purposes.
  • Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Wash and cleans vehicle when necessary.
  • Checks oil, fluids, and other items on company owned vehicles daily.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor including production and facility maintenance.
  • Adhere to all federal DOT regulations regarding commercial vehicles and licenses.
  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems.
  • Follow all company procedures and protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

Company Drivers provide various transportation services, the nature of which is dependent on the company for which they work. As a driver, you must have a safe driving record, follow all state and national driving laws, rules, and regulations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Transports buses to various sites to support sales/marketing/production and other departments
  • Performs test driving for quality assurance purposes

COMPETENCIES

  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License (Class A or Class B; Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements)
  • Clean DMV record
  • Attendance and punctuality are an essential function of the position
  • Previous manufacturing or construction experience preferred
  • Candidates will be required to submit to Pre-Employment Medical Examination, Back-Ground Checks and Drug/Alcohol Testing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be in good physical condition, able to sit, stand, bend, and lift for extended periods

Travel

At least 80% of traveling is required. Long distance, local and overnight travel can be required. Traveling across state-lines and country boarders can be expected.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of related experience.
