Six Flags Over Georgia is seeking a Ride Mechanic to service, inspect, install and rehab ride machinery. You will work with maintenance teams to ensure safety and reliability of attractions at a major theme park.

The role requires hands-on welding, diagnostic skills and the ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights. This is a full-time, hourly position with overtime eligibility and a union contract.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of various mechanical systems and ability to proficiently weld.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to professionally interact with other shops and various departments.
• Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management.
• Ability to write, speak and comprehend English.
• Lifting up to 100 lbs, bending, standing long periods, climbing and working at heights up to 200 ft.
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
• Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Valid Drivers’ License and clean DMV report.
• Employees are required to supply their own hand tools.

Responsabilités

• Inspect rides and attractions and notify management of hazards.
• Perform ride inspection and maintenance per Six Flags, manufacturer, ASTM and Georgia standards.
• Maintain, erect, repair and troubleshoot theme park rides and attractions.
• Diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, gearbox drive systems, etc.
• Diagnose and repair faulty mechanical components such as lift chains and gear boxes.
• Visually inspect and listen to machines to locate malfunctions.
• Remove or replace worn or defective parts using hand or power tools.
• Weld using SMAW, FCAW and GMAW welding processes.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals and schematics.
• Keep a daily duty log and accurate records of preventative maintenance.
• Respond to work orders and conduct mechanical repairs to maintain safe park operation.
• Adhere to park policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
