Job summary

Six Flags Corp in Charlotte, NC seeks a Level II Ride Maintenance Technician. This full-time role requires performing inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on amusement rides, with emphasis on gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, wires, and safety-critical components.

Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years in mechanical maintenance, including ride experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of control processors and real-time industrial networks.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and technical documents.
• Experience maintaining amusement rides or similar equipment preferred.
• Good judgment, decision making and problem solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and other required inspections of amusement rides and related equipment, taking corrective actions as issues are identified.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and takes corrective actions.
• Maintains accurate documentation of repairs and inspections and submits paperwork timely.
• Communicates status of rides verbally and in writing.
• Keeps equipment in safe, ready condition per codes and company policies.
