Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Vehicle Dynamics Tuning Engineer to contribute to vehicle dynamics development. The role involves driving and testing vehicles, interfacing with simulation teams, and applying tuning insight from proving grounds to achieve ride and handling goals.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering (ABET-accredited) with automotive product development experience and strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive engineering product development.
• Suspension architecture and development experience.
• Vehicle Ride and Handling Tuning or Development experience.
• Proactive and reactive problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience from cross-functional interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback on vehicle dynamics programs based on test results.
• Drive and test vehicles; communicate with simulation engineers to guide program requirements.
• Apply tuning knowledge from proving grounds to meet ride and handling criteria.
• Demonstrate deep understanding of suspension and chassis architecture and components.
