Job summary

LEGOLAND California is seeking a Ride Engineering Technician to maintain and service electromechanical ride equipment in a fast-paced park environment. You will follow the established maintenance program, perform emergency repairs, and ensure safety and reliability across attractions and facilities.

The role requires hands-on skills with electrical, PLCs, and hydraulic systems, plus the ability to read blueprints and operate basic machine tools.

Qualifications

• A minimum of four years of experience as a journeyman/technician is required.
• Knowledge of practices, tools, and equipment for rides and electromechanical systems.
• Preferred experience with small diesel/gas engines and basic machining.

Responsibilities

• Follows established maintenance program; perform emergency repairs to keep downtime minimal.
• Keep ride equipment and work areas clean, neat, and safe.
• Inspect rides to prevent safety hazards; comply with electrical codes and safety guidelines.
• Operate basic machine tools (drill presses, grinders, etc.).
• Read blueprints for rides, attractions, and buildings.
• Maintain tools and equipment; keep safety as a priority.
