Job summary

Merlin Entertainments is seeking a Ride Engineering Technician in California to join the Ride Maintenance department. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and servicing electromechanical equipment across attractions, ensuring safety and reliable operations.

Candidates should have extensive ride maintenance experience, strong electrical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints. This on-site position requires flexible hours and readiness to support park operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of experience in installing, maintaining, and servicing electromechanical equipment for rides.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, PLCs, and VFDs and ability to read blueprints.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and safety procedures in an amusement-ride environment.

Responsibilities

• Follows established maintenance program and performs emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Inspects rides and facilities to ensure safety and compliance with codes and procedures.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good working order and keeps work areas clean and safe.
• Responds quickly under pressure and communicates effectively with supervision and other departments.
