Merlin Entertainments in Orlando, FL is seeking an Engineering Technician to maintain rides, attractions, and site systems ensuring safety and reliability. The role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control systems and supporting life safety equipment, with a shift schedule of four 10-hour days.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, basic mechanical aptitude, and comfort working at heights up to 200 feet with fall protection.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of two years of vocational or technical training.
• At least two years of engineering or maintenance experience.
• Experience in technical, themed entertainment, attractions, or similar environments is highly desirable.
• Professional qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on rides, attractions, and site systems.
• Conduct inspections and safety checks to ensure compliance with standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Maintain attraction reliability while minimizing downtime.
• Support ride systems, life safety, and emergency equipment installations.
• Assist with new equipment installations and annual maintenance projects.
• Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately.
• Maintain clean, safe workspaces.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure guest experience.
• Follow all health, safety procedures.
