Job summary

Lactalis American Group is seeking a Supervisor for Ricotta Production based in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on safe, efficient production, quality, and people leadership within the ricotta department.

The supervisor will work closely with employees and report to the Ricotta Production Manager, ensuring proper setup, recipe accuracy, and thorough documentation. Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.

• Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the department runs in a safe, productive manner.
• Assist operators in setup and start of production.
• Ensure quality checks are performed by staff.
• Verify proper recipes are used for production.
• Complete and maintain paperwork/reports.
• Record operator logs with signature.
• Verify moisture checks on all lots.
• Tour the room regularly to monitor activity.
• Ensure sufficient manpower for next day’s activities.
• Ensure supplies (salt, stabilizer, etc.) are available.
• Maintain employee records and attendance.
• Maintain open communication with ricotta department staff.
• Identify and resolve department problems while complying with GMP/QC policies.
