Lactalis in the USA is seeking a Supervisor/Ricotta Production based in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on safe, productive operation of the ricotta department, maintaining quality, and strong people leadership within a GMP environment.

Responsibilities include overseeing setup, quality checks, recipe verification, and daily paperwork, while ensuring adequate staffing and supplies. A high school diploma is required; dairy science or business credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in business administration or dairy science preferred.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Ensure department runs safely and efficiently.
• Assist operators with setup and start of production.
• Ensure quality checks are performed by department staff.
• Verify proper recipes are used for production.
• Complete and maintain paperwork/reports.
• Verify hourly operator logs with signature.
• Verify moisture checks are performed on all lots.
• Tour the production room regularly to monitor operations.
• Ensure adequate manpower for next day’s activities.
• Ensure sufficient supplies (salt, stabilizer, vitamins) for the day.
• Maintain employee records and attendance.
• Maintain open communication with ricotta department staff.
• Identify and resolve department problems and enforce GMP/QC policies.
