Job summary

Century Furniture LLC is seeking a diligent Quality Control Inspector to travel to Rock House Farm brand locations, inspect finished furniture, and ensure adherence to quality standards. You will document findings in Excel and collaborate with showrooms and customer service to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in furniture quality inspection, knowledge of furniture construction and finishes, and the ability to travel extensively using a personal vehicle.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; preference for Bachelor's or Associates degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in quality inspection within the furniture industry.
• Strong knowledge of furniture construction, upholstery techniques, wood finishes and materials.
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel is helpful but not required.
• Ability to travel extensively using own vehicle; travel reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of furniture, including upholstery and wood finishes, at various locations.
• Examine products for defects, imperfections, color variations, finishes, fabrics, and stitching on wood finishes and upholstery products; inspect metal and other components.
• Inspect and assess replacement, repair, and return products to determine quality compliance.
• Communicate inspection findings with corporate and agent showrooms.
• Work closely with the VP of RHF Showrooms and collaborate with customer service representatives to address quality issues.
• Maintain quality spreadsheets by imputing quality data accurately into Excel worksheets.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for quality control.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
