Job summary

Century-Furniture is seeking an experienced RHF Quality Control Inspector to travel across multiple Rock House Farm brand locations, inspecting finished products for adherence to quality standards. You will document findings, communicate with showrooms, and collaborate with customer service to resolve issues.

The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of furniture construction and finishes, and the ability to travel extensively using your own vehicle.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Prior quality inspection experience in furniture or related manufacturing is required (2+ years).
• Knowledge of furniture construction, upholstery, finishes, and materials is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of furniture at various locations, including upholstery and finishes.
• Identify defects, color variations, finishes, fabrics, stitching, and component issues.
• Inspect replacement, repair, and return items for quality compliance and documentation.
• Record inspection results and communicate findings to showrooms and leadership.
• Assist with Excel-based quality data spreadsheets and maintain reporting accuracy.

Job Summary:We are seeking a experienced RHF Quality Control Inspector to ensure that our furniture meets the highest standards of quality. This role involves traveling to multiple Rock House Farm brand locations, inspecting assigned finished products, and ensuring they comply with our quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, be highly knowledgeable in the furniture industry, and possess excellent communication skills. A clean driving record and the ability to travel extensively using your own vehicle are essential for this role.Key Responsibilities:Conduct detailed inspections of furniture, including upholstery and wood finishes, at various locations.Examine products for defects, imperfections, color variations, finishes, fabrics, and stitching on wood finishes and upholstery products. Also inspect metal and other components for defects.Inspect and access replacement, repair, and return products to determine quality compliance.Communicate inspection findings with corporate and agent showrooms.Work closely with the VP of RHF Showrooms and collaborate with customer service representatives to address and resolve quality issues.Maintain quality spreadsheets by imputing quality data accurately into Excel worksheets.Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for quality control.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; preference given to candidates with Bachelors or Associates degree in a related field.Minimum of 2 years experience in quality inspection within the furniture industry.Strong knowledge of furniture construction, upholstery techniques, wood finishes and materials.Proficient written communication skills to accurately report inspection results.Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel is helpful but not required.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while traveling.Clean driving record and willingness to travel extensively using your personal vehicle.
