Essential qualifications include a Medical Assistant diploma or certificate and High School Diploma or equivalent, with strong communication, multitasking, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited facility.
• Good oral and written communication skills, good computer skills, be flexible and dependable, and multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients.
• Register patients according to established protocols.
• Assist patients to complete all forms and documentation including medical insurance.
• Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information.
• Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Collect co-pays and payments.
• Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals.
• Respond to requests for information.
• Complete other clerical duties as assigned.
• Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean.
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals/administration.
• Obtain vitals before, during, and after infusion.
• Draw labs if needed.
• IV removal/discontinuation assistance.
• Maintain sterile environment at all times.
• Maintain drug inventory & medical supply stock.
