Job summary

The University of California, Davis, in the School of Medicine, is recruiting a full-time Health Sciences Clinical Professor in Rheumatology. The role will be based in outpatient care with some inpatient consults and engagement with residency and fellowship programs.

The successful candidate will teach medical students and residents, deliver high-quality care for soft tissue rheumatism and autoimmune diseases, and participate in scholarly activities and service to the university.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in California.
• Experience in managing soft tissue rheumatism and autoimmune diseases for high-quality care.
• Knowledge of biologic therapies and ACR guidelines; understanding drug interactions.
• Experience teaching and supervising medical students, residents and fellows.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient rheumatology care with some inpatient consults.
• Interact with UC Davis residency and fellowship programs.
• Contribute to teaching, scholarly activity and university/public service.
