Job summary

AndHealth is seeking a mission-driven Rheumatologist to join our growing specialty care team, delivering high-quality care to patients with complex musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions. You own a panel from the start, with early focus on access and new patient evaluations, then longitudinal management as referrals grow.

You will work with APPs, Clinical Pharmacists, and care partners, with compensation based on base salary plus a panel performance bonus.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certification in Rheumatology.
• Active, unrestricted medical license; Ohio licensure or willingness to obtain.
• Completion of ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship.
• DEA and BLS certifications.
• Experience with chronic, complex rheumatology patients preferred.
• Willingness to travel to partner sites ~1 day/week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new patient evaluations and specialist consultations for complex rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage chronic rheumatologic diseases in virtual and in-person care environments to evidence-based standards of care.
• Provide physician-level review and oversight of escalated clinical cases from APPs and care team partners.
• Develop individualized treatment plans integrating medical therapy, lifestyle interventions, and whole-person care approaches.
• Educate patients on disease processes, treatment pathways, and long-term management strategies.
• Identify co-occurring conditions that may impact diagnosis or outcomes.
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary case reviews and care planning.
• Maintain compliance with CHC, clinical, and regulatory requirements.
