Job summary

MyCHN in Houston, TX is seeking a board-certified Rheumatologist to diagnose and treat autoimmune, inflammatory, and rheumatologic disorders. The physician will manage chronic diseases such as RA, lupus, gout and osteoporosis, and develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.

The role involves performing joint injections and procedures, managing biologics and DMARDs, and educating patients on disease management. Collaboration with PCPs and specialists is essential to quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine Residency and Rheumatology Fellowship.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and treating autoimmune, inflammatory, and rheumatologic disorders.
• Managing chronic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, osteoporosis, and related diseases.
• Developing personalized treatment plans using evidence-based medicine.
• Performing joint injections, aspirations, and other rheumatologic procedures.
• Managing biologic therapies, DMARDs, and immunosuppressive medications.
• Educating patients on disease management, prevention, and wellness strategies.
• Collaborating with primary care providers, specialists, therapists, pharmacists, and care coordinators.
• Supporting quality initiatives and patient-centered medical home standards.
