Job summary

Avel eCare is seeking a Rheumatologist to join our Specialty Clinic as a PRN / 1099 Independent Contractor. This remote opportunity provides flexible scheduling and the chance to improve access to specialized rheumatology care for underserved populations through our telehealth network.

You will conduct remote consultations, assess and diagnose rheumatic diseases, develop treatment plans, and prescribe DMARDs or biologics.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Minimum 1 year rheumatology practice experience.
• Telemedicine experience preferred but not required.

• Stay up to date with developments and best practices in rheumatology and telemedicine.

Avel eCare is seeking a Rheumatologist to join our Specialty Clinic team as a PRN / 1099 Independent Contractor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Conduct remote consultations with patients to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.
• Offer personalized care and evidence-based treatment options for conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, spondyloarthropathies, and others.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, including disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologics, and other treatments.
• Provide patient education on managing chronic conditions and improving quality of life.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records through our electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care providers and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments and best practices in rheumatology and telemedicine.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• MD or DO degreerequired.
• A minimum of 1 year practice experiencein Rheumatology.
• Telemedicine experience preferred but not required.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS

• Active DEA certificationandBoard Certification/Board Eligible in Rheumatology.
• At leastone unrestricted state license(any state in the U.S.). Colorado license is preferred.
