Rheumatologist opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee
Wonderful opportunity to work closely with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists, to ensure coordinated care in a community hospital setting, level 3 trauma, 150 beds with 560 full-time employees.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed assessments of patients with rheumatic and autoimmune conditions, including arthritis, lupus, and vasculitis.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient history, clinical findings, and diagnostic results.
- Perform joint injections, aspiration procedures, and other rheumatologic interventions.
- Interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies related to rheumatic diseases.
- Manage chronic conditions, including disease‑modifying anti‑rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) and biologics therapy.
- Provide patients with education on disease management, medication use, and lifestyle modifications.
Collaboration and Communication
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to optimize patient care.
Clinical Research and Education
- Engage in clinical research and contribute to advancements in rheumatology.
- Stay current with the latest research, treatments, and advancements in the field.
- Mentor and provide guidance to medical residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
