The department seeks candidates who collaborate across disciplines (STEM, Business, Education, Health Sciences, and the Arts) and who have interest in emerging technologies, including AI, to advance professional development and curriculum.

Qualifications

Ph.D./Ed.D. in English, Rhetoric and Composition (or related field) by August 2027 from a regionally accredited institution required.
Demonstrated record of teaching, service, and scholarship in Rhetoric and Composition, interdisciplinary writing, and emerging technologies.
Evidence of university-wide and professional networking.

Responsibilities

Teach 24 semester hours in lower and upper-division and graduate-level English courses as needed.
Teach lower and upper division courses in Rhetoric and Composition.
Lead interdisciplinary initiatives across campus for composition with focus on emerging technologies.
Engage in scholarship relevant to teaching university level.
Assist in curriculum creation in Rhetoric and Composition.
Participate in committees and university service.
