Job summary

Eastman is seeking a Rheology Scientist to support viscosity-focused analytics in Scale Up Analytical Development. You will partner with R&D, manufacturing, QA and business teams to design experiments, analyze data, and deliver robust analytical solutions for scale-up and new products.

You will lead collaborative projects, mentor technicians, and present results to diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment at our Kingsport, Tennessee location.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with 5+ years of analytical problem solving.
Experience with rheology/viscosity measurements and rheometry.
Strong technical communication and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

Follow safety, quality, and data-management requirements; maintain good laboratory practices.
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, QA to provide analytical testing solutions focusing on viscosity.
Design experiments and methods for QA/QC labs and product lines.
Develop solutions for scale-up and manufacturing, and communicate results to teams.
Lead multidisciplinary projects and coach technicians.
