Waters Corporation in New Castle, Delaware, seeks a Senior Applications Scientist to lead the rheology and dynamic mechanical analysis portfolio. You will guide advanced applications development, create training, and drive strategic product direction across global teams.

The role requires deep rheology expertise, hands-on support, and collaboration with R&D, engineering, and sales. You will develop workflows, author technical content, and mentor scientists while expanding Waters solutions

Competenze

• Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline; PhD strongly preferred.
• Hands-on expertise with rotational and oscillatory rheometry and DMA instrumentation.
• Experience supporting rheology, mechanical testing, and materials characterization in an industrial/academic setting.

Mansioni

• Serve as principal scientific advisor for R&D in rheology and DMA; contribute to feature definition and long-term roadmap.
• Lead rheology strategy, develop applications, protocols, workflows, and data analysis capabilities.
• Produce technical content (notes, white papers, guides) demonstrating leadership in rheology.
• Drive pre-/post-sales engagements, feasibility testing, sample characterization, and method development with customers.
• Troubleshoot advanced rheometer/DMA issues; support global sales with technical expertise.
