Job summary

University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for five Director roles within the Residential Housing Association (RHA). Under supervision, board members promote engagement, provide resources, advocacy, and operational support across Residential Life, Housing, and Food Services.

Roles require commitment to trainings and potential project work throughout the year. Directors serve 10–15 hours weekly at $12/hour, with attendance at required trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student at UNR.
• Must complete a minimum of 15 credits per semester of employment.
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA (semester and cumulative) while holding the Board position.
• Need approval for any secondary employment.
• Must not hold conflicting campus positions with duties or training dates.

Responsibilities

• Chair or assist with department wide committees.
• Collaborate with RHA Executive team to plan events and programs.
• Maintain RHA Resource Center, schedule office hours, monitor check in/out of resources.
• Act as RHA liaison to community Leadership Councils.
• Create and gather information for marketing and promotion of activities.
• Maintain organization social media accounts.
• Fill in for missing executive board positions as needed.
• Attend Fall and Spring trainings in person; arrange housing for August 2025 trainings.
• Follow RHA, RLHFS, and University guidelines on finances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
