As we continue to grow, we are seeking an analytical & detail-oriented RFP / Procurement Analyst to support strategic sourcing, procurement analysis, & vendor evaluation across our organization.
Position Summary
The RFP / Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting the Request for Proposal (RFP) process through sourcing analysis, vendor evaluation, cost modeling, & cross-functional project coordination. This role analyzes product costs, logistics expenses, pricing structures, & vendor proposals to identify opportunities for cost savings & support effective procurement decisions.
The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, & comfortable managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. This individual should be able to translate financial & operational data into actionable recommendations while supporting sourcing initiatives from initial RFP development through vendor selection & savings measurement.
Key Responsibilities
RFP & Procurement Analysis
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders & subject matter experts to develop complete, accurate, & comprehensive RFPs
- Analyze vendor proposals, product costs, category costs, logistics expenses, & pricing components to perform comparative evaluations
- Evaluate procurement options & logistics strategies to identify the most advantageous sourcing solutions
- Perform cost-benefit analyses & evaluate pricing formulas to support vendor selection & procurement decisions
- Review contract terms & provide analytical support during vendor negotiations
- Track & measure cost savings and other financial benefits achieved through the RFP process
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Perform financial & operational analysis to identify trends, opportunities, & business insights
- Analyze & clean data to support procurement decisions, vendor evaluations, & sourcing initiatives
- Develop reports, models, & visualizations that clearly communicate analytical findings
- Provide ad hoc financial & procurement analysis to support business needs
- Present findings & recommendations to internal stakeholders in clear, actionable terms
Project Management & Cross-Functional Support
- Manage multiple RFP & procurement projects from initial research through analysis, evaluation, & implementation
- Coordinate timelines, deliverables, & communication across internal departments & external vendors
- Partner with Purchasing, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, & other departments to gather information & evaluate sourcing opportunities
- Identify opportunities to improve RFP, procurement, & analytical processes
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives & other projects designed to improve procurement performance & reduce costs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in Finance, Procurement, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related analytical role
- Strong analytical, quantitative, & problem-solving skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
- Experience analyzing financial, pricing, or operational data
- Ability to manage complex projects & multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail & organizational skills
- Ability to work independently & collaborate effectively across departments
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting RFPs, strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor evaluation processes
- Experience performing cost-benefit, pricing, or financial analysis
- Familiarity with contract review & vendor negotiations
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience with data cleaning, modeling, reporting, & visualization
- Experience in wholesale, distribution, retail, or another high-volume environment
